And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

My brother who was 6 years older than me spent 3 years in Vietnam and became a Ranger and spent 6 years in the Army. He said one thing he never liked was jumping out of planes. He was wounded twice in Vietnam and later died in an accident in Texas after the Army.
Why would anyone want to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft? Just asking.
