And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That was some fighter when it came out. Remember them flying tree top over our farm, chasing A2 Skyraiders, out of Hanscom, those two afterburners spooling up combined with doppler effects, pretty darn incredible, once in a while not a lot, hear sonic booms, made everything rattle, even dirt under your feet.
Somewhere amongst my accumulation is a picture of the Hancock, CV19, leaving Subic Bay with the Enterprise, CVN65, as it's entering Subic. Taken in 1975 while attached to VMFA-232 . The Hancock was on her way to be decommissioned. We had F4s too.
