  2. The Ojibwa fought the last battle between Indians and the US Army at Sugar Point Minn. 20 Ojibwa won the fight against 100 soldiers, with no casualties. Interesting story,

  3. I must have seen 1,000 photos of so-called "Native Americans" and this is the first smiles I have seen.

    1. 2 things:

      1 - back then, smiling in most portraiture was rare, even for “Unnative Americans”

      2 - being pushed around, denied generational lands and traditional ways and spiritual beliefs, and mostly killed off for centuries, you expect smiles?
