And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
just drain any old gas, invest in a new plug, add a dose of "Mechanic In A Bottle" and after 2-3 pulls it's off to another season of following the lawn mower - AKA: Hiking the Briggs & Stratton Trail. "Mechanic In A Bottle" is great stuff - should be called "tune up in a bottle". MIAB has likely cured more "won't start" mowers with nothing more than soured gas or a varnished-over carb than any tuneup.
always thought those cars looked stupid. I sell it and get something nice instead. you get more use out of the lawnmower than the car. funny thing back in the mid to late 1980's a buddy of mine used to go around all of the old farms and barns to see what might be there. it was amazing what he found back there. I helped rebuild a lot of old British sports cars back then that he got for almost nothing. it was like this farm boy got to the big city to go to school. gets sports car. comes home with it. it not made for back country roads gets parked in or behind the barn. sits until someone wants to buy it. he "found" a old 1964-5 shelly buried in the mud behind one barn. we spent 2 days digging it out and getting it on the trailer. a year or more later, he sold it for over 20 grand. by then he had about 3-4 grand in it and unknown about of time.
Yeah! That is a rare Bentwood XK459 Lawn Mower.
ReplyDeleteI'd leave the patina, but totally restorable
DeleteProbably got a 318
ReplyDeleteNah, 3.5 hp Briggs at best.
DeleteCar's worth more than the house.
