And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The Frazer Nash Fast Tourer – or the Mille Miglia as it became known after the marques success in the 1950 Italian 1000 mile race – tended to be equipped for road touring, although most Frazer Nash owners viewed them as a dual purpose road and track car. There were only 11 built between 1949 and 1953.
Why I do not know, but your note sent me on a trail to discover more about the Lotus 23. There is enough engineering and styling data on sporting cars of that 30-year period to fill a library. Here for example: https://www.britishracecar.com/DonMunoz-Lotus-23B.htm
Thanks Don. What a great site. I’ll definitely spend some time perusing the cars. What a nice documentary on the 23B. I raced in C Sports Racer division with a 1300cc Cortina block and Lotus Twin Cam head. Brought back fond memories of SCCA club racing. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteRaced an MG A 1600 II in F production and a Lotus 23B in C sports race in SoCal SCCA in the late 60’s and early ‘70’s. Great times.
