And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Don't see many Fisher woodstoves anymore. One of the best ever made. No glass on front doors, so to get the "cozy" fire effect you have to leave the doors open, which defeats it's highly efficient heating capability.
"One of the best ever made." Absolutely. We've had a Fisher Grandma Bear for over 30 years. We bought it used for $350. It's unusual in that the doors have nickel plated trim.
I believe the one above is also a Grandma Bear. They're great because you can get a good sized chunk of oddly shaped wood into them with ease, and twenty inch firewood is a perfect fit.
That's how we heated the house before we got HVAC. My job from about 8 years ago was to keep the wood bin fulll and start the fire every evening. I got my white privilege card early in life
