And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The vast majority of the meals I smoke are done over a mix of apple and hickory chips, around 2/3 apple to 1/3 hickory. Just personal preference on the taste.
Oh, and I use a more primitive smoker that uses wood chips instead of pellets.
One good thing I enjoyed with this particular product was the pellets lasted significantly longer than the hickory chips. But using a cold smoker device, I found the tar produced in the air chamber was more apparent than with the chips. I think the smoke was denser using the Traeger pellets.
I have a bag of these, can recommend. I spent some bucks on a higher end controlled feed controlled temp pellet smoker and have never looked back. I don't want to knock other brands because to each his own but mine is a Weber Searwood 600XL. It was the replacement for the Big Green Egg I lost in the recent divorce and I am loving it.
