  1. My family lived in Syracuse, NY, in 1960. There was a 15-cent hamburger drive in in the city called "Carol's."

    1. Their birth year is my birth year.
      My first real job was at McD's in 1970 at age 15 and I was paid $1.25 an hour and was glad to have it. No female employees, 19 cent burgers, 60 second service, small memorable menu, no drive through. Cash only.

  6. Sigh, add two zeros to that price now :-/. Also IMO not nearly a good a the original.

    And if you factor in the grubhub (delivery outfits) service fee it exceeds affordable anymore. Tough on shut-ins.
