And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

On my bucket list is to go to Germany or Switzerland and spend a week somewhere, and visit a Christmas market. Gotta say, from what I've seen, they do it right.
My first thoughts EXACTLY. That travel guy on PBS, Rick Steves, did a special all about Christmas celebrations all over Europe. I still watch it, but now with great sadness of all the wonderful things one certain religious group has DESTROYED, and the worthless government officials who have enabled and even welcomed the destruction/destroyers.
Hungary is advertising their Christmas travel experience by pointing out that they are happily paying fines to the EU for refusing to allow wholesale unfettered immigration.
First things, you need a country which has avoided unrestricted alien invasion. Reason: too many terrorist related events during Christmas celebrations. Or they have spectacular anti-terror forces protecting the citizenry. Its a very short list. Wisdom: remember the axiom by that wise old man who suggested staying away from crowds was a life extension strategy. Besides. No place like home. Nothing like kith and kin. Christ and his Father don't care where us mortals celebrate his birth into this mortal plane.
Did Heidelberg a few years ago while my daughter was in grad school there. Walking about the town on Christmas morning with the falling snow and singing coming from the churches was unforgettable.
unless they do something about the ragheads and Islam, they are going to have any more of them is a few years. back in the 1970's , they where great times. now, you find they all have "walls" around them to keep the assholes with cars/trucks from driving thru and killing all they can. allowing Isalm in your country is a lot like have a rattlesnake in your house. until people wake up to that FACT. I wouldn't go near a Christmas market and again, we see the reason to teach HISTORY. yeah, this fight has been going on for over 1400 years. they coming to RULE your country, not join it.
I lived in Germany for 3 years in the 70's and back then the middle eastern immigrants were collectively referred to as Turks. They were to be avoided at all costs. It's been downhill ever since.
Rich: Denver metro is painfully "Cali-fornicated" but much of the rest of the state is a bit more normal. El Paso and Teller Counties (where the market is located) has over 100,000 US military veterans. An OK place to reside or visit.
Poland is on my list. SAFE. Streets are modern, clean and prosperous the way Europe could have been. The markets are not filled with police to keep them safe because the enemy was kept outside the border. Top it off with some of the most beautiful and friendly women in the world. Northwoods Free Man
Better visit soon before they all get canceled because of ...ah....certain......"types"

Why moderation!!! 4 and a couple of brats in a bun, makes Christmas special and keeps you warm.
DeleteBack to Salzburg...... Great Christmas Market there.

Ol' Remus. Greatly missed.
DeleteOh, brother. Which country has the most mass shootings? And who’s usually doing the shooting?
DeleteWhat a bunch of cowardly fearmonger replies.
Pull out the gang related stuff in some major cities and the US is safer than anywhere in Europe. Go piss up another rope.
DeleteWho's doing the shooting? Mostly trannies, which is yet another mess that needs to be cleaned up.
DeleteWho's doing most of the shootings ? Here's a hint : it's not trannies and starts with N.

The rattlesnake analogy is spot on. People better wake up soon.

ReplyDeleteStrasbourg Christmas Market very nice!!
ReplyDeleteWhile I have not made an effort to visit it, Old Colorado City (west of Colorado Springs) has a "Christmas Market" this year.
ReplyDeleteRight up the road is Manitou Springs which might be a better bet.
DeleteLousy parking and too many tourists.
DeleteAin't touching Colorado until they stop being so leftist and they let Tina go!

DeleteTry Leavenworth, Washington for their Christmas markets, hefeweisen, and pork knuckles if you want a version of Germany in America.
