And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Earlier this year, I began to have a problem with plantar fasciitis and I upgraded my daily choice of shoes split between a pair of Hokas and a(nother) pair of Merrells, both now with orthotics.
The Hokas are very comfortable and the orthotics help a lot. But wow, are those Hokas expensive. I put about 20-25 miles per week on them, and the sole just isn't holding up nearly as well as I had hoped. I'll have the sole worn into the cushy part in a couple of months and once I do, the wear and tear will only increase.
On the other hand, my Merrells (my 5th pair) are practically bulletproof. They're not nearly as comfortable, but based on my previous history with them, this current pair will last me 2-, maybe 3 years.
Pricey.

If you wear them around here you'll immediately have wet cold feets.

owned a few pair...they suck...they lose their waterproofness in less than 6 months...went with keen...
