  1. Bought one maybe 3 yrs ago. Paid half the price shown. Great saw, love it.

  2. Probably the best saw in that category.
I bought mine some 25 years ago and have used it many hundreds of times.
The fence is what makes this saw stand out.
Mine came with a different stand, which I shitcanned and I built a proper cabinet for it.

  3. I've had 2 of these saws. I bought my first about 6 years ago....my first table saw. I've got an uncle who lost the tips of 2 fingers to his table saw, so I've always given mine a lot of respect. Anyway, I was happy enough with the saw until I bought a set of dado blades. Not long after I had begun to use them, the arbor nut began to back off mid-cut and at turning off the blade, there I'd be with 4 spinning blades spinning on the arbor via rotational inertia until friction brought them to a stop. This happened a couple of times and no matter how hard I tightened that arbor nut, it would loosen up, leaving me with multiple spinning Blades-of-Death. Scared me to death.

I was tempted to sell it or just donate it to charity, but in good conscience, I just couldn't do that. I was well enough convinced that the threads on the arbor had stretched and it was just never going to be safe, and I couldn't sleep at night believing that someone else might be harmed by it.. So I called Dewalt and made use of my warranty. They allowed me to buy a second saw at half price, and I've been happy with it since then.

I would still rather have Saw Stop, but don't use it enough to justify paying for one.
