And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There use to be an air field at Bailey's Cross Roads, Fairfax Co., Virginia. Closed when I was in high school. I remember seeing an aircraft with Invasion Stripes. It was NOT a war bird. But the owner/pilot was a WWII vet and wanted people to know it.
A C47 in turbulence is a bit of a ride. They are meant to snake a bit and that was my experience on a short flight in rough conditions. Magnificent machine though.
