  2. yeah. I was about to say the same thing. I have a few of them in tool boxes downstairs. they just don't make them like that anymore. when one looks back at what this country has done and then look at what is made today, well. it just sad
    really.

    1. If I had to guess, I would say it's an old-fashioned architect's scale ruler. Nowadays they make'em triangular, with 6 different scales on each one.

    1. As a complete WAG, it's a scaled curve for laying out railway switches and curved track. Make it too tight a curve and you have problems with things like car ends colliding, wheel trucks not tracking properly, etc.
