  1. 27 Liters? Holy cow. They must have used a Meteor plane engine in it or some V-12, if there are six exhaust pipes on the passenger side. Pretty impressive power for sure. Bet its a dandy to tune all those carbs.

  2. A Meteor is a Rolls-Royce Merlin Mk II without the supercharger. Meteors powered many British tanks including the Centurion and were produced for over 20 years. It could produce up to1,500 foot/lbs of torque and between 550-810hp depending on the variant and fuel quality. Here's Jay Leno and his Bentley.

    1. Lot of diesel tank engines have trouble making that kind of hp. And they use turbos most of them now.

  3. A cu leter translates into a 556 cu in engine. Am I correct?

    1. Nope. A litre is 61.02 cubic inches. The Merlins that Packard built under licence were called the V-1650-x because they displaced 1,650 cubic inches.

  4. Looked it up. My 5.7 L Tundra was a 350. 27 L works out to 1013 ci.
