Flashback!

  1. A pathetic, nihilistic, waste of a movie which showcased the ongoing downward spiral of American cultural values. Remember the line from Travolta's boss when Travolta's character stated: "F**k the future!" The boss replied: "You don't f**k the future, the future f***s you!" William F. Buckley, who I am no fan of, wrote a very spot on review of this waste of film. I wish I could find it. At age 77 and after a lifetime of dealing with losers like Travolta's character while working as a Peace Officer, this corrupt and syphilitic thinking country is approaching the end of its journey to a huge chastisement at the hands of Someone Whose pay grade is infinitely higher than mine. Sad.

    3. Sheesh man, it was a movie, entertainment. Lots of pretty nice things about the flick but why bother with the likes of you. You sound you've gone through life with a big fookin' chip on your shoulder.

  3. This brings back fantastic memories of dating in high school. For us, this was just a movie.

  4. Wow, things really change, seems so goofy now, I mean its an iconic movie, think its the directing, maybe its corny due to the directors sense of what reality is for a place and time he was not part of. Enjoyed it when I was a kid. The girls where very sexy in that 70's style.

  5. I was living abroad when the movie came out and thought from the catchy music provide by the Gee Bees, It'd be a fun movie to watch. Years and years later, I've returned to the U.S., and decide to watch the movie on cable TV. Was surprised at how depressing the movie really is.

  6. Even back then, as now, I have always found just about everything about NY people detestable. In a word, crude.

  7. I have proven my point. My 50 year boycott might be over. Saw a HeeBee GeeBees concert on TV a couple years ago as I knew there had been a couple songs I liked before the full-on disco. Watching with an open mind, I could take them seriously. Well crafted songs.
