And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
This is a declassified photo of around the 60's - Look at the aircraft and notice how advanced the model is. And people think that the SR-72 is only now being made??? These things are up there flying 30-40 years before they admit that they even exist.
I had the privilege to work with these guys as they were in their very final years in the aerospace industry, and even then they still wore their pocket protectors - not note pads
The wind tunnel i worked on in the 80's was made in england during WW2. All hand fitted wood for the chamber, it was a thing of beauty. It was scrapped i heard a few years ago, shame as it was a pleasure to use
The pocket protector is a very useful piece of gear. All of your tools in a convenient carry-all. On a first date (to the Muny Opera) I showed up at the girl's door in a short-sleeved white shirt (buttoned to the top, no tie), my USMC birth-control glasses (in addition to my contacts) and my trousers pulled up almost to my armpits . . . the better to show off the white socks (over my black socks) and my black low-quarters. I - of course - had my pocket protector and a calculator pouch hanging from my belt. Once she got over the shock and I had a good laugh, I ditched the extras and we went to the show.
In a wind tunnel.
