And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Looking forward to the arrival of the atmospheric river, the Coconut Connection, the Pineapple Express, right on our doorstep!
Been watching Accuweather Radar. Redding and Red Bluff have been sitting under a huge Orange/Red blob for over twelve hours. Looks like I-5 was closed last night, too. Trucks stacked up on the shoulder of the freeway just north of Redding.
Looks like it's time to start following levels at the lakes again. My favorite time of year. Sure beats Fire Season.
Ah yes. Yet another tool in the 'Extreme Weather caused by Climate Change' toolbox. We all need to run out and buy Chinese EVs to avert impending disaster!
It’s all about the fear, they do the same thing here in the Midwest for a few inches of snow. Grocery stores are packed because people think they won’t be able to get out of the house for weeks!!!!
Whut?

ReplyDelete@CW How'd you make out? Up in PDX we had a good rain/wind. Some neighborhoods (300k at one time or another) without power.
ReplyDeleteI-5 at the border is/was closed due to winter driving conditions.
We had slushy hail the day before - that felt more like the winter has arrived than this bit of rain.
Ski runs open on Mt. Hood. Early this year as it is before Thanksgiving.
