And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Dave Bowie and Iman. A curious couple that seemed to make it work.
It's interesting, to say the least, that for Bowie to be such an effective rebel, a shocker of the conservative mindset, he also had to deeply understand convention, and it's effects, both good and bad. Seems he had a very conventional relationship with Imam, to the benefit of both. So in the end, which side won?
I gained even more respect for him and his abilities watching him and Bing sing a duet of Little Drummer Boy, probably the best rendition ever by epic newish and older talents.
My favorite (slightly off subject) duo of all time is Roy Orbison and K.D.Lange. Two seven octive voices singing Oribson's "Crying". Pure bliss!! Bubbarust

I thought Bowie was married to his manager/handler who guide him through his early and middle years (Ziggy Stardust/Spider from Mars)!
