  1. I might argue that I share co-ownership in the circus, but the majority of other owners (who are ijits) bought a batch of bad monkeys and forced them on me.

  2. Never cared for that woman (nor her husband), but we watched their movie with the BIG trailer and it had it's moments.

  4. Reruns of I Love Lucy are still hysterical! My two favorite I Love Lucy episodes:

    1) Lucy and Ricky have dinner with a young couple, and Lucy tries to convince them to get married. Ricky then warns the couple against marriage, telling the potential husband-to-be that he will have to look at his wife at breakfast, with her hair in curlers, her face covered with cold cream, and her wearing a ratty old robe. So the next morning, Ricky is seated at the kitchen table, reading the newspaper, so he doesn't notice when Lucy comes in to the kitchen wearing an old robe with her hair in curlers and her face plastered in cold cream. Ricky had also warned the young guy about when his wife would make him breakfast that featured runny eggs, burnt toast, and coffee that tasted like mud. So then Lucy makes Ricky's breakfast: She breaks two raw eggs on a plate and scrambles them (no heating involved!), she removes BURNT toast from the toaster and spreads butter, making a sort of Latin rhythm as she moves the knife back and forth. Then she makes Ricky's coffee by scooping a couple of spoonfuls of dirt from a potted plant on the kitchen windowsill into a cup and then pours hot water into the cup and stirs it. When Ricky finally tastes his coffee (without having looked up from his newspaper while Lucy was preparing his breakfast), he spits it out, then he sees Lucy! Hysterical scene!

    2) Lucy has been harping on Ricky to throw out some of his older clothes, but Ricky says he keeps those older shirts and pants for when he has to perform dirty work around the house. But when Ricky goes to work one day, Lucy takes Ricky's older clothes and donates them to a thrift shop. Unbeknownst to Lucy, that thrift shop owner knows Ricky, because that's where Ricky buys some of his clothing. So the shop owner calls Ricky. When Ricky arrives home, Lucy makes a tearful confession, saying that while she was trying to clean Ricky's old clothing (using gasoline, outdoors, of course) they all caught fire and burned up! Ricky then consoles Lucy, telling her not to worry, as he was able to stop at a second-hand store on his way home from work and was able to buy some used clothing that looked just like his old stuff! The astounded look on Lucy's face was priceless!

  5. My favorite was the cross country road trip to California. Excellent mid-century Americans. The highlight was Fred and Ethyl showing Lucy and Ricky how to sleep in a broken down bed.
