A passerby kindly said he'd send a tow truck out when he got to a phone.

Sure enough, just as the shadows were growing long, a tow truck came up the road. I walked over to it, and the driver stepped out. He was this huge, hulking, hideous figure who seemed about 10 feet tall! Scared the daylights out of me!

Turns out he was an ex-All Black rugby player; he was Maori, and had his whole face tattooed. He was actually only 6 feet or so tall, but almost that broad across the shoulders (or so it seemed to me.) He was also a really nice guy, and he put me at ease straight away. (I'm so glad! If he had been what I first thought he was, I wouldn't be writing this now.)

Those hakas are pretty powerful psychological warfare! The opposing teams look kinda like I felt on that lonely road, out in the dark!Eskymanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15947922645001422523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4533651942397782565.post-71193384110768143852017-07-01T09:51:08.593-07:002017-07-01T09:51:08.593-07:00Oh, aye!Oh, aye!c w swansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02735507642689652780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4533651942397782565.post-80727233986687116462017-07-01T08:00:17.763-07:002017-07-01T08:00:17.763-07:00https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAgNNPSMY1Mhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAgNNPSMY1MWell Seasoned Foolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16670165728759453075noreply@blogger.com
