One of the locals probably forgot he was smoking a cigarette when he dropped by to fill up on stolen fuel.
Thieves apparently drilled a tap, loaded up, and then locals came by to harvest the gas that was apparently spouting up dozens of feet in the air (creating an aerosolized cloud of highly flammable fumes primed and ready to explode just like this).
Send a prayer their way down in Hidalgo.
Well, at least that's 21 the U.S. Border Patrol won't have to worry about.
ReplyDeleteWatched raw footage of this earlier and at 1 point a dude in flames runs past a guy 100 yards from the fire, apparently soaked in fuel but NOT burning and the human racing torch lights his ass up on the way past. Fucking gruesome. That said, is it wrong that my first thought was "Huh, wonder what kinda MPG they're pullin down, afoot".
