It's so expensive that they currently are only planning to build 12, but it looks good. I wonder what the maintenance costs and efficiency levels are? How many sorties can it pull? I'd like to know how it might do in environmentally hostile areas, such as the desert. The Russians are usually pretty good at dealing with things like that, but with these high end designs, it's an all new ball game.

noted the lack of buy of serious numbers a bit ago. interesting platform. they will make a monkey model when they figure out just how much stealth they really want. Russia does try to come up with how to use the weapon before building them but then they build a lot of them. USAF puts a lot of on the backs of the F22 fleet, but the politicians refused to buy enough of them, hence the Mods going into F15 and F16, joining the three together in a air defense and air attack system. haven't heard any news about the Russians doing tactical data link like the USAF is but always assume they are at least working on jamming hell of it.
