  1. Back with my wife in Tennessee, when one day she called to me
"Virgil, quick, come see, there goes Robert E Lee"

    1. A little hard to reconcile Joan Baez making this one (The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down) of her signature pieces isn't it? Juxtaposed as it is with all the Kanye histrionics and PC statue-demolition-derby activities going on these days. Being a Liberal means never having to say you're sorry, and never having to explain your rampant behavioral inconsistencies.

    2. No kidding. But Levon sings it like he means it.

  4. The Left is chortling & pointing fingers, because President Trump in his Ohio rally was talking about the Civil War, & said that Gen. Lee was a great General, and Pres. Lincoln couldn't beat him in battle. Then he went on to say that's why Gen. Grant, even though he drank too much, was so badly needed, because Grant could beat Lee.

Sadly, President Trump framed his statement poorly, which gave the #LyingMedia a chance for a video clip where Trump praises Gen. Lee. Naturally they left out of their narrative any mention of Grant, they wanted to make it sound like Trump was happy with slavery & the Confederacy!

I cringed when I saw the clip on CNN, it's vicious; but Trump gave #FakeNews an opening, and they took it!
