Tax Revenues Are Up 1%, Despite Trump Tax Cuts

The problem, as always, is spending, as that's the primary way politicians buy votes.

  1. Spending needs to be curbed more than it has, but Congress does most of that, and it's there that the core problem remains. The price of democracy?

  2. The bulk of spending is entitlements. Those won't be cut until the system crashes.

    "If a tax cut increases government revenues, you haven't cut taxes enough."
