  2. And the APEX predator in that domain - the proof is in its eating great white sharks!

  4. living life to it's fullest is easier now days. years ago, due to unforeseen but not unprepared for circumstances, I had the privilege of having my semi frozen carcass ensconced in my official government furnished one man life raft off the coast of Iceland almost close to a rocky shore line. much to my surprise and consternation, I observed one of those droopy but tall black fins cruise by my raft. I was some what thankful to have an intact raft. and then....I felt something touch the thin plastic bottom of the raft. thinking of rocks and mindful of what was above the thin plastic bottom of said raft, I looked over the side. Not rocks. Orca. licking to bottom of the raft as if tasting and appetizer.
so for the rest of my life, I have been thankful that the Good Lord gave Orca's the knowledge of what tastes appealing and that a government furnished one man butt pack life raft is not one of those appealing flavors which would feel good going thru the belly.
I really really really am glad to be here to tell you this.

    1. Wow! Just the temperature of that water is lethal over a short time, but who needs to add a giant and curious alpha predator hanging around?

    2. naked swimmer in the Artic Ocean will be out of it completely in less than four minutes. Dead Right There. Fish food.
Poopy suits give you time to get out of the water and cover your head. after one experience in that water you will do what ever necessary to not repeat the experience. no matter what survival gear you have available.
review the film "Titanic" survivors in the water scene. it is fairly accurate. 38 degree water is exceedingly painful until the central nervous system and the chemistry of muscles contraction begins to shut down.this is also known as "having a bad day"
