Wingsuit Proximity Flying

A good way to get killed.  The ratio is 3 feet forward for every one foot down.

  1. 3 feet forward, 1 foot down, once you are to speed.

  2. Some people like to risk death by living on "the edge". I happen to be one. I live on the edge of a bar stool. I realize I'm gonna die someday, and I'm hoping it's before the bar tab comes due.

  3. That came into being after I lived through the jumping out of airplanes phase of my life, but I would have done it, had it been available. How else can you feel what it's like to be an eagle?

  4. Not exactly flying. More like falling, with style.

  5. Geez, even a flamed out F-4 has a 12' forward for 1' down glide ration, and it was a brick.

  6. Three foot forward for one foot down?

That's nothing. I could go straight down, but I try not to brag. Easy as falling out of an airplane!

  7. It's possible to fly up with a wingsuit more then 300f. Also the glide ratio that can be sustained in the speeds they are flying at the good pilots can hold a 1:1 GR for more then 15 seconds. Just saying!
