Interesting: In the new Mission: Impossible movie, Tom Cruise is 5 years older than Wilford Brimley was when he starred in COCOON in 1985

  1. Wilford Brimley was a Marine that led a hard life when he was a young man before he got his Hollywood break in his mid 30's. The closest Tom Cruse came to the military was the movie Top Gun. I am less than a year older than Tom Cruse but I am retired military, I wore myself out in the service. At 57 I am closer to Wilfred Bremley's 50 year old physique.

Cruse has had a personal trainer and dietitian keeping him fit for his movie career since he started the business in his teens. Does he dye his hair? Most likely. Has he had any surgery or botox? Maybe. Is he in good shape? Absolutely, he has too look good for the camera and push his action hero franchise. He will be like Clint Eastwood working into his 80's or further.

  3. Wilford Brimley looks like he's lived, Cruise like he's been preserved.

  4. Wilford Brimley made a movie about space aliens preserving his life; Tom Cruise has space aliens preserving his life and he makes movies.

"Cocoon" is one of my favorite movies, btw!
