Who doesn't like a big boom (other than the guy in the truck)?

  1. A great way to get rid of healthy people's vehicles who park in "Handicap" spaces. Hopefully with them inside.

  2. I could be wrong but I don't think that there was any explosives in that bomb, its all Kenetic energy from the speed and mass of the bomb.

    1. It's a 1,000 lb JDAM with a delay fuse.

    2. You beat me to it. There is no evidence of an explosion, so
this looks like a kinetic kill vehicle.

  3. It's a bomb designed to crater runways. You need to punch in under them and detonate upwards to crack the concrete.

    1. i like a runway bomb that turns the concrete back into gravel. turns compressor blades into garbage and is really tough to repair the runway surface back into something that won't FOD the engines out. also very good for taxiways and ramps. the Herms have an interesting bomblet that does that but getting them on target is problematic.

  4. Might be the bigger brother, the GBU-31, 2000 lb judging from the relative size versus the truck, 70 deg impact angle, delayed fuze. Must be going really deep to lift that truck and toss it instead of vaporizing it. Just from the way the earth is mounding up bubble-shaped under the truck, makes me think it was indeed live.

  5. I'm calling it a 250lb. SDB with a D/A fuse. Note the black smoke from the detonation and small debris cloud. If that was a 1-tonner, that truck would be no more than shredded soda cans when it came down. Great video, though.........
