Two boys scavenge copper wire from atop a crashed Soyuz spacecraft booster. A villager on horseback approaches to speak to them. Altai Republic, Russia. 2000

Somehow reminds me of Planet of the Apes.

  1. Planet of the Apes comments are racist. I won't comment further, the less said of that, the better.

The crashed booster would be a magnet for any kids.

  2. Planet of the Apes? I was getting more of a late 1980's William Gibson vibe.

  6. Tens of thousands of man hours to make. Billions spent.
Kids? A few minutes to destroy it all..

Planet of the apes doesn't do it justice at all. Apes are more evolved than these monkeys.
They had to KNOW that it would ruin any chances of research on this capsule.
But HEY! They need some candy money.
