And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

These guys....
I met a fellow once who had spoken to Andre in person. He told me The Giant was the nicest guy, and that his hands were so big that a can of beer simply disappeared in them.
The movie was good - but as I’ve nearly always found, the book was even better. A little meta, but still entertaining. I read it to my kids as a bedtime story, a little bit at a time - and while they still enjoyed the movie, they learned that reading the book (when available) is nearly always better.
