Cool

  1. I'm guessing the reason for enclosing the barrel is to reduce the thermal signature after firing. Great design!

  2. It's important to be able to shoot and scoot because counter-battery radar is very good these days and you can end up getting hoisted on your own petard if you're not careful.

One disturbing thing that I noted was the lack of racial balance among the gun crew.

    1. It's the Swedish Defense Force (They don't use Army in European services. The word Army sounds too agressive) and many Muslims are fair skinned LL, so not to worry about the racial imbalance.

    2. Thank you for that moment of clarity, bogsidebunny. I had a moment of panic and concern when I didn't see muslims, or people of color in the advertisement.

    3. The racial balance is old hat. What we should be concerned about is the monosexist cisgender patriarchal nature of the gun crew!

Why, there's only one gender there; it's like the other 57 don't even exist!

  3. It's a good start. Now they just need to build the rest of the Bolo.

  4. Mobility is Essential, but the Carrier looks pretty Light for the size of the Gun, Lacks a good Ground Stabilizer (Spade) and probably suffers a lot of Dispersion.

And Artillery(persons) needing a Crane to Load Field Artillery Shells? This ain't der Gamma Morser, Sven...

    1. It's Sweden, and they assume they won't have to deal with boggy terrain, and use a crane to cut service crew size down. Which is all fine and dandy except Sweden has lots of boggy lands, and crews need to be oversized in regards to artillery.
