Hot Balls


Steel glowing hot.  Several thousand degrees and slowly cooling, these spheres will become part of a pair of candle holders.

    Cherry red, approx 1500F.

  2. Don in Oregon already covered the temperature,I worked 18 years in a steel forge plant,& for a time operated both forge furnace & an annealing furnace. Saw that coloration often.
