And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Working in the garden today, I was surprised to see this poking out of the ground
Grown from seed, it probably has at least another year to go before it's going to give me a decent crop. This is its third year.
My asparagus is still under a foot of snow and we have another foot coming on Tuesday. My garlic did start to pop up though, but is now also under a foot of snow.
Spring better get here to the northeast soon because I pick up more bees in a month. Joe

DeleteAsparagus is good, homegrown is great.
ReplyDeleteBetter homegrown than store bought. You can get a few cuttings before they go to seed and get 'woody'.
