F-12...doesn't look like a fighter aircraft but I'll bet it was fast.
According to Wikipedia (the source of all verified knowledge!), it was designed to be a recce aircraft. Had it been built a few years earlier, it would probably been very effective in that role.
F was the designation for recce aircraft. The recce version of the P-38 was designated both F-4 and F-5.
