And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
One of the treats of regularly flying out of PDX (Portland, OR, airport)in my past life was sometimes getting a chance to see the Oregon Air National Guard launch a tactical element of two fighters. They flew off the same runway as the airliners. Two abreast, they would build up speed and arrive in front of the waiting areas in the terminal at the point where they rotated, hit the throttles hard and went for altitude. A heartwarming sight.
Oregon? Did someone try filling it with diesel?
