And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Excellent chapeau and rifle. Especially the sights
Excellent indeed. I would be curious to know if when raised, the sight clears the bolt travel. For that reason I have not installed one on my Marlin 336. I am instead in search of an old timey receiver sight.

ReplyDeleteProperly installed, the bolt travel will not strike the sight. Thus the reason for such a set-back on the stock.
DeleteIf you want to install one on yours, then you probably need to find the specs and play buttstock roulette or take it to a competent gun-smith.
Yeah, I'd like to have that sight.
