Serious Deterrence

  1. Nice rig. A few things to keep in mind when setting one up--

On a pump action, stay away from anything that might allow the forward hand to slip off and in front of the muzzle on the forward stroke.

Barrel porting is nice, but it can play hob with your night vision.

  2. No problem with the hand slipping, RHT447, I practiced pumping another "gun" when I was a teenager and a firm but gentle grip was required then, so I'm good with my Remington 870 now.

    1. Well done. Just thought I'd mention it as there are always folks new to the game. The issue can get dicey with some of the 'bullpup' designs.

  3. Yeah bogside, but you DID want slippage with that practice. Am I right, or am I right? Apples and oranges.

  4. At the tender age of 15 a little slippage sweetened the pot, bart!
