The burnout of the two M777 howitzers highlights the sheer volume of artillery that
rained down upon that sad city.
"I've never heard of it - normally your gun goes back to depot for full reset well
before that happens," a former Army artillery officer said.
It's been decades since we last shot the lands out of the barrels. I wonder how the dorks of Bush feel for having left behind artillery when we invaded Afghanistan because, nobody needs artillery in the 20th century....
