And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Creepy. Time-lapse images of Mount St. Helens dome growth 2004-2008
I went there after the big eruption (years after) and was shocked by the blast radius (as evidenced by toppled trees). That's a serious bit of mischief, CW.
Is the new lava dome where Spirit Lake used to be?
An amazing place to visit, I've been there several times. A testament to Mother Nature's ability to restore the natural balance. She's much handier than man.
