  2. We had a Shasta trailer just like that when I was a kid in the early '60s. It was complete with the rear wings, and had real wood paneling, 13 ft long, cozy for a family of four. My little sister and I slept in canvas bunks slung above a pullout bed in the back. Dad used to put crumbs on the roof at night. Forest critters would wake us in the morning, pecking at the food.
    He pulled it with a '56 Chevy panel truck. I still have a 35mm color slide of that classic rig.

  3. Those old stone walls one sees in the British Isles are amazing. Lots of patience and craftsmanship went into building them, which is mostly taken for granted today.
