Rocket Porn - dead center landing

  1. United Launch Alliance (Lockheed-Martin and Boeing) must be gettin' nervous. When your competitor has developed a reusable 1st stage and every one of yours 'goes in the drink' after each flight, the traditional market forces AND the environmental types will force you to change or lose business.

    Which is a good thing.

  2. why don't they ever show the re-entry? how do they turn a rocket 180 degrees without forces tearing it to bits?

    1. There is a post I did some time ago with a video that shows exactly that, from space to touchdown.

  3. In the 1950's all the movies SyFi movie's rockets landed this ( except maybe "Forbidden Planet"). This is so cool. Can't wait for when the whole ship comes back in one piece. Probably within 5 years. Millennials have a lot to look forward to in Science.
