I'm surprised it took this long

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has asked the remaining 46 U.S. attorneys to resign, the Justice Department announced Friday, describing the move as part of an effort to ensure a "uniform transition." The department said some U.S. attorneys, as in prior transitions, already had left the department. Now, "the Attorney General has now asked the remaining 46 presidentially appointed U.S. Attorneys to tender their resignations," a spokeswoman said.

"Until the new U.S. Attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutors in our U.S. Attorney’s Offices will continue the great work of the Department in investigating, prosecuting, and deterring the most violent offenders," the statement added.

Now, perhaps we can get serious about enforcing the law in a way that treats all Americans equally and fairly.

  1. Some of the Democrat US Attorneys were ok. Laura Duffy (Southern District) is an out-of-the-closet lesbian, but she's one of the boys. I always liked Laura and am sad to see her go. The USA's are all political appointees and know that's how it goes. The Trump appointees will be onboard with the new program and in places like San Francisco (Northern District) and Sacramento (Eastern District). Phillip Talbert - USA for the Eastern District needs to be replaced and so does Brian Stretch (San Francisco).
