Meteorites on Mars

Curiosity has found another rock that scientists think is likely a meteorite.  Here is the amazingly good picture of it.

Here's the one they found three months ago.  Looks all molten, like it was turned into a blob of hot lava by friction as it passed through Mars' atmosphere.

Finally, I'm continually amazed that we have a car sized rover tooling around on the Red Planet, shooting lasers at things.

  1. Yes it looks like a meteorite. It would look great on my desktop in my den (collecting dust) as a conversation piece.

-> Cool meteorite, LL, where did you find it?

    <- Mars

  2. I'm still waiting for my flying car, but I must admit that's pretty neat!

The Future has disappointed me thus far in most respects, though. It looked a lot better back in the '50s.
