And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Yup. For some reason, genius economists thought decimating the steel industry in the likes of Pittsburgh, Gary IN, Detroit, etc. would be offset by the cost of cheap shit for unemployed at WalMart.

It was amazing to see men casually walking by these huge glowing ingots as they were pounded into massive structures. Not a job for the fainthearted! I'll bet it was deafening, too.

This still done in the USA, but on a much smaller scale that 60's/ 70's.
