Right on the deck


  1. P-38 Lightning. My Dad flew those in the Pacific. He said the counter-rotating props made a stable gun platform but the cockpit heat was lousy because you wren't sitting right behind an engine.

    Weapon of choice for assassinating Admiral Yamamoto, if you haven't heard that story you should look it up.

  2. You had to be a shorter guy to fly the P-38. (putting on my social justice warrior hat) Which today would be an act of vertical discrimination.
