    1. I'm working in Texas and went to a Texas BBQ joint with real Texans yesterday who were chiding me for being a foreigner. They asked if I had a passport (yes, I did have it and I produced it). When ordering, I asked at the meat counter if they had any brisket-flavored tofu, and whether they could slab it on a mixed green salad. I said it with a straight face and explained that I'm trying to curb my carnivorous instincts.
