An extraordinary image - a sandstorm over the Sahara from space.

The Sahara is actually much bigger than the contiguous United States, by about a million square kilometers.  A place you could disappear in, especially if you knew where the water holes were.

  1. No cabin of dreams down there my friend - oasis or not. It looks cool from space, but Lawrence can have Arabia.

    1. Ah... wouldn't the Sahara made him Lawrence of Africa?

(don't mind me... I can't ask a serious question because I haven't caught adulthood yet)

  2. One look at that and the ET's would report "No signs of life here."
