It's that time of year to combine a couple of things....

Things like this,

And this.  Oh, yes.

    1. In case you are questioning the first picture, it was a hill side of dirt, which is, alas, outside the crop. The boys had a great time popping off at a box decorated with orange Shoot n' Sees and a well perforated tin can. Good times.

  2. Looks like they had a good time!
I use my home made PVC target stand, way cheaper. You can easily make clay holders to fit it out of coat hangers. Whole thing comes apart easily for transport and storage.

  3. I don't like to hike back and forth to reset targets. So I made some gongs. 6" dia X 3/8 thick alum. plate, bolted to 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 X 1/4" alum angle stock. Tilted the plates down to reduce splashback, and cut a point on the uprights so they can be driven into the ground.
These hold up well to pistol ammo and give a satisfying clank when hit.

  4. Sadly there's nowhere within a hundred miles of me where I can go outside like that to shoot. SoCal is overpopulated, overrun and overregulated. Getting close to time to join my sister in Texas. Last I heard that was still part of the United States, which CA isn't any more.
