The media is always alarmed about "assault rifles"- but very few people actually have one, and virtually no crimes are committed with one. They're ubiquitous on TV, though!

I can get a surprisingly high rate of fire with my Mini 14, although I can only have a ten round mag. Ammo gets shot up really fast.
