More Mars pictures from our little rover

The rim of Gale Crater in the distance.

Some craggy stuff.  Needs grass.

I continue to be astounded at the quality pictures coming from the surface of another planet.  Inconceivable only a few years ago.

  1. You couldn't have a cabin or a swimming hole there. The best you could hope for would be a "habitat".

And as significant as these steps are, setting down on Europa and drilling through the ice on that moon or any of the Icy Moons of Jupiter will be even more thrilling. Warm liquid water...and all that could mean.

  2. In the top picture located in the bottom left quadrant there is a longish rock with markings on it that look like a small train track. Looks strange and hard to believe it's just happenstance. Maybe someone else could chime in on this also.

  3. Forgot to say in the above comment you will need to enlarge the photo some to see it.

  5. Still haven't found any Coke cans. Sometimes I think they're everywhere!
